Tutoring for Cary's four high schools.
Cary High, Green Hope, Panther Creek, and Green Level are all inside town limits. I live here, so in-person sessions are a short drive.
Four WCPSS high schools sit inside Cary town limits.
Biology, English II, NC Math 1, and NC Math 3 each end in a state EOC worth at least 20% of the course grade, so that exam date usually sets when we start.
Cary High School
638 Walnut Street
Opened in 1896, moved to the Walnut Street campus in 1960. Downtown, and a short drive from Cary Regional Library.
Green Hope High School
2500 Carpenter Upchurch Road
Opened in 1999 in west Cary, near the Morrisville line.
Panther Creek High School
6770 McCrimmon Parkway
Opened in 2006. McCrimmon Parkway puts it nearer Morrisville than downtown Cary, which matters for evening scheduling.
Green Level High School
7600 Roberts Road
Opened in 2019, the newest of the four and the furthest west.
Where in-person sessions happen.
Pick whichever is easiest. Most students end up mixing in-person and online.
Cary Regional Library
315 Kildaire Farm Road, Cary
Bookable meeting space for ages 18 and up, capped at 20 people, reserved through wakegov.libcal.com. The open tables work fine without a reservation.
Your home
Anywhere in Cary
No travel charge. Easier when the material is spread across a desk.
Online
Video call, shared whiteboard
Every subject I teach works over video. It is also the version that survives a snow day.
Cary is home base, so booking is quick.
In-person sessions here rarely need lead time. Same-week booking usually works, and slots after 5pm fill first.
Sessions run one or two hours, once or twice a week. Drop-in sessions before a test get booked as needed at the higher rate.
Parts of Cary I cover
- Downtown Cary and Walnut Street
- West Cary along Carpenter Upchurch and Green Level Church
- Preston and Cary Parkway
- Weston and the Harrison Avenue corridor
- Kildaire Farm Road south to Penny Road
Questions I get from Cary parents.
Which Cary high schools do you tutor students from?
All four inside town limits: Cary High, Green Hope, Panther Creek, and Green Level. Pacing and course names differ between them, so bring the syllabus or the class website to the intro call.
Do you meet in person in Cary, or only online?
Both. In-person sessions run at Cary Regional Library on Kildaire Farm Road or at your home, anywhere in Cary. Online sessions are a video call with a shared whiteboard.
What does tutoring cost?
$25 an hour for a recurring scheduled slot, $35 an hour for drop-in sessions booked as needed. Billed per session. No packages, no contract, no signup fee.
When should we start if there is an EOC coming up?
Three to four weeks out. Biology, English II, NC Math 1, and NC Math 3 end in a state End-of-Course exam counting for at least 20% of the final grade under State Board policy TEST-003. Four shorter sessions cover more ground than one long one the night before.
How do we start?
Email jackdenya@gmail.com with the subject, grade level, and the topic causing trouble. The first call is 15 minutes and free, and nothing is booked until after it.
Send your subject, your goal, and your availability.
The form and the address below reach the same inbox. I reply within 24 hours.
